Helichrysum italicum 

When used in aromatherapy, the scent of helichrysum essential oil is known to fight amongst other things allergies, arthritis, eczema, and anxiety. It is also said that it will reduce inflammation, assist the healing of burns and wounds, stimulate digestion, boost the immune system.

Helichrysum is the ultimate Essential oil for the healing of deep emotional pain. It is a very high vibrating oil, in fact one of the highest and will therefore assist those who are feeling they have lost the joy in life and are struggling emotionally. 

 

It also helps relieve the emotion of self-hate and anger.

Uses 

 

Releasing the anger

The liver holds a lot of our anger, fear and hate. Add a few drops of Helichrysum to a small amount of carrier oil and rub over the liver. Hold the intention of releasing these negative emotions. 

Helichrysum has been found to have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. 

Adding a few drops to a small amount of carrier oil may help to kill bacteria, viruses and fungi that can cause infection. They anti-inflammatory properties may help symptoms related to an infection such as redness, pain and swelling. 

 

Skin Care 

Because Helichrysum is an emollient, (moisturising oil) that can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and even up the appearance of skin tone and texture adding a few drops to your daily moisturiser routine can have its benefits.

As a stress reliever

The aroma is comforting, grounding, warming and mixes well with other stress relieving oils such as lavender or frankincense. Add a few drops to the bath or even better use the Soul Soak Bath Salts, which incorporate the stress busting oils of Frankincense, Helichrysum and Pure Rose.  

 

To help relieve coughs and colds diffuse a few drops of Helichrysum in a diffuser.
